Nick Hoffman battes at Bristol

Nick Hoffman kicked off the Bristol Bash on Friday evening in his Fox Shocks No. 2 Elite Chassis Modified. Tackling the famed, 1/2-mile high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) Nick qualified fourth fastest in his group before finishing second in his heat race to earn the 8th-starting spot for the feature.

In the 20-lap, $5,000-to-win feature Nick advanced to as high as the third position before settling into a fourth-place finish behind David Stremme, Kyle Hammer, and Ryan Ayers.

After seeing Saturday’s program delayed to Sunday by rain, Nick Hoffman Racing went into Sunday’s $10,000-to-win finale hoping for a victory. Struggles early in the night left him starting 14th on the feature grid, and on a narrow-grooved track he was able to advance to a seventh-place finish in the 20-lap feature.
