Podium finish in Outlaw Invasion opener at Atomic Speedway
Nick Hoffman was one of 37 World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series entries on hand at Atomic Speedway (Alma, Ohio) on Friday for the two-day Outlaw Invasion.
With a heat race victory sending him into the redraw, Hoffman started on the pole for the feature and led the opening eight circuits before a charging Mike Marlar took command. He went onto place third, behind Marlar and Jimmy Owens with Bobby Pierce and Brent Larson rounding out the top-five.
On Saturday, Nick backed up the fourth-fastest qualifying effort in his group with a runner-up run in his heat. Rolling off sixth for the $15,000-to-win Outlaw Invasion finale, Nick lost three spots in the 50-lapper to finish ninth.
Nick climbed to seventh in the latest World of Outlaw point standings.
