Nick Hoffman Captures First DIRTcar Summer Nationals Victory at Wayne County

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (07/13/25) – Extending his weekend plans proved to be a smart move for Nick Hoffman, who wrapped up the DIRTcar Summer Nationals in victory lane—scoring his first Late Model win on the Hell Tour in Sunday’s season finale at Wayne County Speedway.

The all-time winningest driver in Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals history held off the soon-to-be-crowned 2025 Hell Tour champion Jason Feger to secure the $5,000 triumph, marking his sixth overall win of the season.

"The Hell tour. I grew up doing it. I love it, you know, it's in my blood and I enjoy coming back," Hoffman said. "I don't get to do it very often, but to finally get my first Late Model win is pretty special to me."

Hoffman’s weekend began with a pair of World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series appearances during the Battle at the Border at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio. He opened the two-day event with a fifth-place finish on Friday, but an early retirement on Saturday—due to a failed right-rear shock assembly—cut short his feature run.

On Sunday, Hoffman returned to action with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals finale at Wayne County Speedway, where he outran World of Outlaws regular Ryan Gustin in his heat race to grab the win. Lining up third for the 40-lap feature, Hoffman made a late-race move on Jason Feger and held off a hard-charging Zack Mitchell in the closing laps to earn the $5,000 paycheck and his first career Hell Tour Late Model victory.
