Nick Hoffman Tops Sooner State Showdown at Arrowhead Speedway

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (08/25/25) – Nick Hoffman broke through for his first career Comp Cams Super Dirt Series victory on Thursday night, topping the Sooner State Showdown opener ahead of a doubleheader weekend with the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series.

Hoffman outdueled Bobby Pierce over 40 laps to capture the $10,000 payday, marking his seventh overall win of the 2025 season in the Tye Twarog Racing / NOS Energy Drink No. 9 Super Late Model.

“(The track) changed a lot throughout that race and I got the middle rolling there for a little while, then the top of (turns) one and two was pretty nice," Hoffman said. "I seen (Bobby Pierce) up there, then obviously that (lap-26) caution comes out and lets me restart and get back to the top.”

Hoffman advanced into Thursday's feature with a runner-up finish in his heat race before charging from the fourth row to the front, edging Pierce by 0.410 seconds at the checkered flag. Dennis Erb Jr. completed the podium.

Hoffman kept momentum rolling during the weekend’s World of Outlaws portion of the Sooner State Showdown, following up a fourth-place run on Friday with the runner-up honors in Saturday’s $20,000 finale.
