Podium finish in Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway
Nick Hoffman rolled into the iconic Eldora Speedway on Wednesday for the FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota event, which served as the kickoff to the Dirt Late Model Dream week.
With more than 80 Late Models on the grounds, Hoffman set the tone early—backing up a runner-up finish in his heat race with a strong 10th-to-4th run in the 50-lap opener.
As the field was split for twin preliminary programs on Thursday and Friday, Hoffman matched his performance in Thursday’s feature, charging from deep in the field to place fourth after passing 12 cars in another 50-lap affair.
Hoffman secured the final transfer spot in his heat race on Saturday, earning a starting spot in the $100,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream. After an early trip to the infield hot pit to repair a spoiler issue, the Mooresville, N.C., driver stormed from 20th to finish third—advancing 17 positions in the 100-lap main event. He joined race-winner Jonathan Davenport and runner-up Bobby Pierce on the podium.
