Nick Hoffman Doubles Up with World of Outlaws on Northern Swing
Readies for Gopher 50 at Deer Creek Speedway
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (06/30/25) – Nick Hoffman injected new life into the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series championship chase over the weekend, scoring a pair of victories aboard his Tye Twarog Racing / NOS Energy Drink No. 9 Super Late Model as the tour rolled through North Dakota and Minnesota.
The Mooresville, N.C., native earned $12,000 for his victory Friday at River Cities Speedway, then followed with a dominant, flag-to-flag $15,000 win Saturday at Norman County Raceway. He capped the weekend with a third-place finish Sunday at Nodak Speedway.
Hoffman, who entered the weekend with one tour win on the season (in May’s Dairyland Showdown), now trails 2023 World of Outlaws champion Bobby Pierce by 78 points in the latest standings.
"Tonight just everything went our way," Hoffman said in victory lane at Norman County Raceway. "I was able to go a quick time there and win my heat race and won again. Tonight it was a little bit easier (than the previous night at River Cities) as far as I didn't fall back and had to battle back."
Hoffman’s weekend began after Thursday’s scheduled event at I-94 EMR Speedway was washed out. On Friday at River Cities Speedway, he advanced from fourth to first in his heat race before recovering from an early-race miscue in the feature. A daring third-to-first move between Ashton Winger and Brian Shirley following a lap-28 restart propelled him into the lead, where he remained to secure his third win of the season.
“Tonight it was just kind of a curveball for me," Hoffman expressed. "I wasn't sure what to expect or how good I would actually be and it just played out. I wasn't good obviously early, but I was at the end.”
Hoffman returned to form on Saturday at Norman County Raceway with a near-flawless performance. After setting the pace in his time trial group and winning his heat race, he led all 50 laps of the feature to secure his ninth career World of Outlaws victory. The win marked back-to-back triumphs in the event, having also claimed the checkered flag in 2024 at the 3/8-mile oval.
The weekend concluded with a strong podium run Sunday at Nodak Speedway.

Hoffman is set to continue his northern campaign with the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series this weekend at Deer Creek Speedway, as the tour returns to Minnesota for the annual Gopher 50. The three-day event opens with $10,000-to-win preliminary features on Thursday and Friday, leading into Saturday’s $50,000-to-win finale.
